A rather harried morning, running late… totally my fault.
We were several minutes late for our appointment this morning with our Barber, who trimmed up Candace and the children`s hair…
…before we ventured southward out of town for an afternoon with Blythe & Casey and their children in addition to Russell & Jill and their new little one (as they are visiting from Florida).
Candace hung out with the ladies while I hung out with the gentlemen, and the children ran reckless throughout the spacious grounds.
Everyone is doing well, and we spend a leisurely afternoon in conversation and friendship… and it is over earnest protestations that I and mine adjourn in the afternoon.
The children fall asleep on the drive home and, as our van drives over the Canadian River, my eyes flicker towards the distant Eastern horizon.
